A Costume for the character of Nabucco- King of Babylon, from the Giuseppe Verdi Opera Nabucco (also known as Nabucodonosor).
The character of the King is well known for his cruelty, so his costume had to convey the look of a strong and evil man. The opera is set in Egypt in ancient times, so the King is an ancient warrior.

Costume for the Opera 'The Love for Three Oranges' by Prokoviev. I designed for all the characters in this opera, and I made this costume for the character Truffaldino.
The story is in the Italian Commedia dell'Arte tradition, of which Truffaldino is based on the standard character Arlecchino. He is a Comedy character better known as Harlequin. The design and costume brief was limited to primary colours and black & white for this production.

A female costume for the character of Papagena from Mozart’s Opera 'The Magic Flute', designed by Deirdre Clancy.
Papagena is described as a 'feathery bride' to the character Papageno, the bird catcher, so she has a very bird-like appearance.
